Job description
We’re excited to open an opportunity to join our team here at Robo Challenge, Birmingham. We’re looking for an enthusiastic person who enjoys creative problem solving and prides them self in applying attention to detail. A CNC Operator & Programmer who can be hands on in product development & production.

The Role
Being a projects based company, duties will vary from week to week. In general tasks will involve various elements to support each project including CAM programming, CNC machining set up and operating and ensuring the quality of those components. Our facilities include an extensive array of equipment which allows us to go from design to finished project all in house as efficiently as possible. Our machining facilities include multi axis cnc machining and turning however there is also opportunity to learn new skills to operate cnc laser cutting, cnc press brake, manual machines and 7 axis robot arm machining. The candidate must be able to work effectively both as part of our core team while also being able to find solutions and work autonomously. Learning new skills will be vital as each project brings with it a unique set of challenges. Due to the nature of our work, hitting deadlines for filming & delivering R&D projects is critical. Being able to work effectively under pressure is also important. We therefore require & provide flexibility with working hours.

Skills
The candidate must
– have CNC programming experience for milling and/or turning
– have CNC operating experience for milling and/or turning
– have excellent communication skills
– be IT literate
– be able to collaborate with others effectively
– be able to work autonomously

The candidate would ideally have
– experience using Autodesk 3D CAD software. Preferably Autodesk Fusion 360
– experience using CAM in Fusion 360
– experience with manual machining
– be fluent in Heidenhain
– be fluent in Fanuc

Benefits
Salary – £27,000 to £40,000 per annum subject to candidate skill level
